ThinkRes has made everything very easy to do from the computer and my mobile device. Excellent integration with OTA's.Outstanding support and onboarding was easy. I love their new messenger system where we can text guests with templates, custom texts and scheduled texts. They even have an online registration system that's easy for guests to use on their mobile devices. Saves a lot of labor for us and guests love the ease and time savings. They also have a superb booking engine that's easy to use and navigate for prospective guests. The booking engine also makes upsells very inviting (with pictures and descriptions) and easy for guests to add them to their reservations. Once a guest adds an upsell (like wine on ice) to their booking, we get an email and a task is created in the booking system in their reservation. This makes it easy to upsell items and keep track of fulfillment of each of the upsells. Once we started taking advantage of the booking engine upsell possibilities, our revenue went up quite a bit. Their help portal is very easy to use and now they even have a chat/instant messaging system as part of their help or support. If you're new at property management or understanding how to best increase revenue or run your operation, the training videos they have in their help portal are wonderful. They give professional and experienced insight for people new in the industry as well as the most experienced. Their customer support via email has the fastest turnaround I've experienced in the 10 years I've been using property management systems. Most often, they answer the question or resolve the problem within an hour or less. Their phone support is equally outstanding. When I call them anytime of day, weekends or weekdays, someone (a live person) picks up the phone and not only that, but the person answering the call is an expert who is able to resolve my issue or answer my question on the spot without needing to transfer me to anyone else in their organization. Just another way that Thinkreservations is set apart from other property management systems.

Very satisfied with everything. I don't know what they should improve on. Maybe allow more fields in the guest registration so that we can get actual guest emails when they book on OTA's

Gratefully Think Reservations is rather intuitive for the end user. Basic computer skills is all that is necessary to successfully book, confirm, cancel or update a reservation and sending a receipt to a guest is as easy as eating pie...because making a pie is much more difficult than utilizing Think Reservations. The auto-email feature is a life saver when days run into each other. Guests expect communication with the property they've selected and the auto-email has saved us more than once when it comes to communicating our expectations for a guest stay. Now if we could only convince everyone to actually read what we send. And finally we are able to pull reports on how our cottages are doing individually as well as how we are doing in general for the season. It's a confidence boost to see that our marketing efforts have made an impact on our occupancy with the simple click of a button and the entering of a date range. I'm sure we are not using every feature on Think Reservations but what we do use has changed the game for our small cottage resort property. We went from B.C. to A.D. in how we take reservations and how we record guest payments. No more little check in slips of paper with carbon copies. No more hand written ledgers for money coming in, refunds to guests, and fees. It's interesting because the name Think Reservations may come across as if the user has to THINK to use it when in fact the opposite is true. I'm convinced the developers have either sat in the seat of a hotel owner/manager/reservation desk employee...or they are married to or in close relation to someone who has. Think Reservations has "heard the people" and provides a product that requires no other software to handle incoming guests. It is quite easy to see, at a glance, what the week looks like. Who has paid, who hasn't and who is a partial pay. The the icons on each reservation to show how that reservation came in, again, at-a-glance makes it quite simple for properties, like ours, that provide "difference" amenities for guests coming in through different portals. Oh, and to wrap up this review...their customer service representatives are responsive and have answers in a timely fashion. A crucial piece to the work of someone in hospitality who desires guests to be totally satisfied. If we are stressed because a software program doesn't work, it shows up in how we interact with our guests. Gratefully Think Reservations is never the cause for a bad day.

Adding a "READ" feature to outgoing emails. Adding the ability to remove multiple blackout dates at once. It is VERY time consuming to click those check boxes one at a time. Especially when our property only operates for 6 months out of the year. PLEASE start working with VRBO!!!!!

The ease of use for booking initially is nice. I like how everything is color coded so you know the progress of the guests stay. Housekeeping reports is easy to use and a helpful tool for other staff members to know what is going on. The check in and out button is a nice feature so you can know exactly when a guest leaves.The settings menu is easy to use if you need to change things on the back end of things. Tech support is super friendly. Always very patient and kind when I need help. Especially when we first opened and they walked us through so many situations and questions that we constantly had. The use of adding multiple credit cards when guests want to split a room Is user friendly. The night audit function is a good way to make sure that everything has been assigned to the appropriate category.
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
Sorting items by a particular name instead of them all showing up by a date range. Example if I need to search for candles sold at the establishment I cannot type in just candles and get the results for that one item.It populates everything sold like chocolate covered strawberries or other items sold at the establishment.If there was a way to search for one particular item and use a date range it could help with inventory. Folios can be a little tricky at times. Sometimes it seems that if you just blackout dates and add guest names it is easier that way. When doing a group booking it shows the name of the group on the Home Screen and if you want to add guests names you can only do so in the comment section or another section of the reservation without changing the entire name of the booking. When splitting payments under group folios especially with a check payment it seems to be a little confusing at times. It may be because I do not understand it completely but it seems support has to be called alot when this happens because it is hard to split payments.

Think's Customer Service and Support are beyond compare. They offer a large library of webinars and videos to help small lodging owners learn how to increase business and solve common problems. Their system is so easy to use and offers all of the features a small lodging property needs. Think is run by people who understand and have owned small lodging properties so the system is so well thought out. I went through 2 other reservation systems before moving to Think. I still feel grateful to have found them!
What do you dislike or think could be improved?
The room setup is based on a bed and breakfast style where each room is given a description and sold separately. I own a small motel where I sell a type of room (1 king bed, 2 queen beds, etc) vs a specific room. It was a bit confusing but their support staff have solved any issue that has sprung up because of that set-up. I've learned to use the system in this BnB style and now it works just fine.

A retitling of group folios vs reservation folios, e.g. grp folio #1 and res folio #1. Also, description in more places about how to keep the credit card number when turning individual reservations into a group reservation
